The 15th day of the first lunar month, two weeks after Chinese New Year, another important traditional Chinese festival, the Chinese Lantern Festival or Yuan Xiao Jie or Yuanxiao Festival (元宵节), is celebrated. It marks the first full moon of the new lunar year and the end of the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) period.
Experience the rich culture of the Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese communities as we come together to welcome in good luck and prosperity for the new year.
We will be celebrating this night by decorating and hanging red lanterns, eating Asian cuisine, Open Mic Karaoke, cultural music, and more.
In addition to the cultural experience, we will also have a variety of vendors selling unique gifts, crafts, and souvenirs to take home.
The event is FREE and open to the public, so bring your family and friends to enjoy the festivities.
